A new study from the European Society of Cardiology encourages endurance training for adults, specifically men who are 40 years of age or older. The study suggests that age-related loss of fitness is due to inactivity rather than age alone. Building muscle tone prevents atrophy and bone loss and adds years to your life. Practing Yoga improves athletic performance and decreases discomfort after workouts, creating flexibility by decreasing the build up of lactic acid. Yoga also helps you identify and release tension in the mind and body.

Implementing regular massage and bodywork into your self-care routine reduces stress levels by lowering the heart rate, blood pressure and provides a boost in mood by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin. Massage Therapy also helps to relieve pain and reduces symptoms of depression with the release of endorphins.
